Over the last few weeks, I have been reaching out to HubSpot Partners all around the globe to introduce our On Demand HubSpot service. Fortunately, my reach outs received a good response with several HubSpot partners finding the service relevant enough to speak to me and some of them even started working with my team.
My initial conversations with fellow HubSpot partners have been interesting. While different agencies have different immediate issues to tackle, ultimately, all our conversations have been around similar topics. I thought it might be a good idea to compile these common topics / questions as a blog post. A sort of FAQ, if you wish.
1. What activities are included in your On Demand Service?
Once the initial pleasantries are out of the way, this is usually the first question that is asked.
My response: "We undertake technical as well as non technical activities within the HubSpot platform and outside, that help you deliver your marketing projects faster and more efficiently."
Neat? What this means is, we basically do everything including:
- Creating landing pages
- Setting up campaigns
- Setting up workflows
- Forms & CTAs
- HubSpot Onboarding for your customers
- HubSpot COS site builds
- HubSpot template customizations
- Setting up newsletters
Let's talk, if you want any such stuff done.
2. What are your typical turnaround times?
Once fellow HubSpot partners know what we can do, this is usually the follow up question, and rightly so. As partners in charge of campaigns where everything needs to be done "yesterday", it's only fair to ask this.
My response: "Well, it depends on the kind of task you assign us. Simple tasks are usually delivered within 24 hours, while more complex or lengthy tasks would need more time. In such cases, we will give you an ETA and proceed once we mutually agree."
Most of the HubSpot partners we work with are based in the US / Canada. So, typically requests they send by the end of their working day are delivered by the start of their next working day. Cool?
3. How do you communicate / What is the process / How does it work?
Most HubSpot partners I have spoken to, do not prefer working over emails and usually have a project management platform they work on already. That's great for us, because we also prefer working on a platform to manage tasks and projects. Just makes life a little simple.
My response: "The process is very simple. You assign a task to us over your project management platform. We take it up, work internally and deliver it over there. In case of questions or clarifications, we either ask over the relevant discussion thread in your PM platform, or are happy to get on a call if that's what is required."
We usually work on these platforms, but are open to working on others too.
4. Do you have a single point of contact?
Short and sweet (hopefully) response: "Yes, we assign you a single point of contact to speak and coordinate with you on all tasks. This SPOC is trained and experienced on HubSpot. At times, we may need to add other team members in our discussions."
5. What are your working hours & how do you tackle time zone differences?
This is a natural and a very common question asked by HubSpot partners, especially in the US and Canada.
My response: "Our regular working hours are 9 am - 6 pm India time. Our team is available for calls at mutually convenient times (usually early mornings or late evenings in the US). We have found that this arrangement usually works out for our clients as well."
6. What are your rates?
Our rates start at USD 20 / hour. We offer lower rates for volume commitments.
If you're interested in our rates, why don't we talk?
7. How do we pay you?
A short answer again: "Paypal & Wire transfers."
8. How do we start?
This is usually music to my ears. After all, isn't it nice that someone wants to work with you?
My response: Let's start small. Why don't you send me a small task that you need to get done? That way, you can gauge if my team is the right fit for you. Let's take the first step.
